Travis is one of my favorite dudes. This is from a bbq/river sesh we had on our last little trip. Tour-cation, as we called it. We had a couple of bbq/river seshes with the hellogoodbye dudes. This one was up at Lake Shasta. we had a huge bbq, then found a cool spot to jump off a cliff into the water, and even float around in a tube. Travis is a rad dude. He’s on twitter. @travishead ….and he rips the gnar when he skates.
I follow @julianahatfield on twitter. she’s rad. the other day she was talking about how she bought ugg boots cuz they’re very comfortable, but how she can’t get the courage to actually wear them outta the house cuz of the baggage they carry. this is one of my favorite songs of hers. it’s an old one, yes, but I love her new records as well. she’s non-stop.
i’m gonna make a goal to post a chat on here by Friday. it’s cool that you’re able to copy and paste a chat on this thing. I was talkin to my friend Greg about life today. I shoulda copied that. I’m sure some more gems will come.
I’ve always played with the idea of making a photo series called LOOK BACK. When traveling, I constantly notice amazing views in our side view mirrors… when the scenery from where you’ve just been collides with what’s in front of you. it makes for a good look. Here’s one of my favorites from our last trip. Unfortunately, i’m not too sure where this is.
Cooper has been battling the ‘daycare germs’ for a while now since he started up in daycare/preschool in the beginning of September. The week of Halloween, they were carving a giant pumpkin in his class, but he had a temperature, so I had to go pick him up. when I got there, he said “daddy! Big, punkin!!!” and I felt so awful that he wasn’t gonna be able to tear it apart with his class. Sooooo, on the way home, we stopped to grab a pumpkin. When we got home I asked him what we should carve into the pumpkin. He was very sure that we should make Muno, from Yo Gabba Gabba. here is our end result! it looked super rad with a candle in it!
Here is Forrest pointing out a killer few from a pull-off on Pacific Coast Highway. In August, Limbeck set out as a 3-piece on tour with Hello Goodbye. We played in San Luis Obispo, and then took the drive up PCH through Big Sur. It was amazing. At this stop we saw the friendliest squirrels ever, a few surfers and a pack of dolphins. love it.
We bought annual passes to Sea World over the summer cuz you automatically get ‘em if you go once. pretty good deal. the food is way over-priced there, but the dolphins are super friendly. Cooper was amazed that they would keep swimmin by the glass while spinning around. I’m glad that he digs marine life.
The Coop turned TWO on October 20.. and we got him a radio flyer shiny red bike, complete w/ a big ol’ bell. he’s way into it even though he can’t totally reach the pedals yet. it’s got a little back step where I can jump on and push him around. we go places.
here is the first in a series of photos. you’ve been warned.
this is where I work. I was headed home on a friday evening a few weeks ago, and my building was hosting the DAM-AM skate contest over the weekend. They had this stone balloon flying and the sun was hittin it quite nicely.
